Nature has a knack for creating memories. When Jules and I were shooting down the runway at ORT one last time the deep purple and black thunder clouds formed the most awesome backdrop to the brightly lit fields in the foreground. Something one can’t capture with a camera, especially when the hands which should be holding the camera are clutched around the arm rests of the chair in white-knuckle terror. But Jules soon relaxed and had the opportunity to snap away at the equally spectacular sunset(s) – one as we flew out of Africa and another as we approached Auckland.
